WELL! They've done it again...I can't even handle myself in this place!

To get the ball rolling for our promo shoot, I asked owner Laurie Copeland what the most popular items or "best sellers" are this year.

In all honesty, her response stopped me in my tracks, and got me feeling a little emotional...

"It's not at all like a regular toy store; people don't come in here expecting to find the latest Paw Patrol toys or other trendy stuff - rather, they come here for the unique experience of matching their child's interests, skills and passions with something that fosters learning and imagination."

After some time to reflect on what Laurie said about finding unique items that match your child's favourite style of play, I finally understand WHY I'm so resistant to the trends. It's simple - I know myself and I know my child, we're unique individuals, and we absolutely cannot thrive in a "one-size-fits-all" culture.

When you get to chatting with the staff at Cardboard Castles, they take the time to truly understand your child's play style, and match them with something unique that they will absolutely love! One comparison Laurie made was if you say your child is really into Paw Patrol, it may not necessarily be the characters specifically, maybe it's that they are enamored with the idea of talking pups, or the idea that they could imagine themselves as a heroic puppy! I totally agree!

I want to commend Cardboard Castles on this personalized approach. We can all admit, Amazon shopping is (almost too) easy, but when it comes down to it, real connections in our community, with people who truly care, are where it's at. And, if those connections result in a more meaningful Christmas for our little ones, that's amazing. It always gets me so excited to connect with other like-minded small businesses - this is really similar to the super personalized approach I take when photographing clients as well! So, thank you, for all that you do! You're the real deal.
