In-Home Motherhood + Extended Family Photoshoot in Barrie, ON
This session was such a dream!
Ever since Tamara started following me on Instagram, she has been serial-liking all my posts (when I gain a true fan like that, it does not go unnoticed - thank you!) I was just about ready to reach out and thank her, but she beat me to it with an inquiry message! When Tamara first got in touch, she wasn’t exactly sure what she wanted, but knew she loved my work and wanted to capture some memories of their baby, and some with the grandparents as well.
To narrow down the style of the shoot, I asked what it was specifically that she liked about my work. Tamara mentioned that she liked the simplicity of a lot of my work, and that she’d love to do something like that with her own babe!
I’ve been photographing a lot of beautiful skin-to-skin motherhood sessions this year, and I’m loving it so much. It hits so close to home for me, as my own second baby has just turned 1! After seeing more of this style popping up in my feed, Tamara reached out to say she’d like to do something more intimate like that with her, her husband and their baby.
She also wanted to capture some extended family shots with baby and grandparents, so we did the photoshoot (at her home in Barrie) as a 2 part session - it worked out perfectly!
I absolutely love the connection with the grandparents here, and the 3 generation shots! They hadn’t done any newborn photos either, so this was a special shoot, being baby’s first time being professionally photographed!
Sidenote…printing the photos with baby and Grandparents will make PERFECT gifts! Yes!
