Event Photography at the 2021 Collingwood Summer Music Festival in Thornbury, ON

This 2021 Ontario Music Festival in Thornbury was an absolutely magical and memorable event! As a photographer, I usually focus on brand and family photography, though I do really enjoy being invited to capture the details of special events as well!
The Collingwood Summer Music Festival made a lasting impression on many of the festival's supporters and fans!
On August 22, 2021 the incredibly talented pianist, founder and artistic director of the Collingwood Summer Music Festival, Daniel Vnukowski, organized and performed a beautiful collection of classical favourites.
The event took place at the gorgeous MacLean Residence in Thornbury. The MacLean’s were lovely hosts, and their property was nothing short of spectacular! I was certainly in no rush to wrap up shooting, and I’m so glad I stayed, as I was granted a little tour of their private apple orchard as well. Stunning!
Being the photographer for this event was really fun for me. Seeing the emotional reactions to Daniel Vnukowski’s performance was incredible!
After the event, I was also able to capture the authentic reactions of fans interacting with Daniel. And, I was also excited to be able to photograph some talent portraits and headshots for Daniel as well! We shot in the MacLean’s eclectic garden, with a rustic and no doubt historical scene as the backdrop.
Daniel Vnukowski is a concert career pianist who’s greatest passion is bringing high quality live music performances to those who cannot always access it. This was the first time I have had the opportunity to photograph a Classical Music Festival, and I certainly hope to have the honor of doing so again soon!
